Weymouth Started the game with promise but a missed tackle in the centre of the park led to Ivel scoring a try which was successfully converted. From the restart Ivel dominated and scored a try from a maul on the Weymouth 5m line which was unconverted. Weymouth Rallied and pushed forward from the kick off and became camped in the Ivel 22 and from a ruck 10 m out and some quick handling led to Will Quick crossing the line for a unconverted try.
Weymouth continued to press from the restart and where rewarded with a penalty, which resulted in Paul Tobutt crossing the whitewash, the extras been added by Nathan Allan.
Half time 12 all
Weymouth made wholesale changes in the second half to give returning second team coach Graeme Williams a chance to observe the Squad of players and their capabilities for the season ahead.
In the second half both teams Concede two penalties which where both converted bringing the score to 18 all and it wasn't until the final minute that Ivel scored a run away try that was converted to Win 25-18
